Berlin and the Tour begins
First Tour Group meeting held in the afternoon of the first day. Now, we hit the ground - not running but transiting. After an orientation to the Berlin public transit system, which I could now assist in mastering. We took a Tram, changed to the underground U-Bahn, and then walked to our first Group Dinner near the Senefelderplatz stop. Next morning we met our Local Guide, who started out Dry. When we met him the next morning, he quickly became rather Wet, same Local Guide, but very different weather.
Here's a video from our First full tour day. This was the Dry Day. Watch it here, or go to my YouTube videos.
After Lunch on our own, I went off on my own. I balance group and solo activity. So, first to Potsdamer Platz and then to the "best" Currywurst stand in all of Berlin. Ok, I admit it... I do not get the love of this food. Hot Dogs with ketchup and curry powder. Really? As long as there was beer, no complaints.
Here's a bit of video from our next day. This was our Wet day. Then again, all things said, it rained at some point during every day. Note on the video, do not expect to hear the Local Guide clearly, it was raining too hard upon our umbrellas. This shows the passion of the Local Guides. He never stopped, despite being soaked to the skin.
Then the still photo moments from our Wet Day. Very glad for some time inside the dry German History museum.
Berlin is BIG and is worth lots lots more than a few days. Lots more beer gardens to visit.
The Coach is rolling, so on to Dresden
