Vienna, Austria - with a bit of Melk Abbey en route
The Coach ride from Cesky Krumlov to Vienna included a stop at the Melk Abbey along the Danube river. Very impressive.
The drive along the river was actually very nice. Have added this part of Austria to "The List". Too bad my list just keeps getting longer. On we went to Vienna and the Schweizerhof Hotel.
While in Vienna, we had two local guides, each with their own style. One a bit more opinionated, but like all local guides he was passionate. Our last afternoon was free time, until meeting up to go to our final Group Dinner out at a Heuriger (Wine Garden) in Nussdorf. We had a lovely area in the outside garden, and were severed a lovely selection of mostly pork products (with the appropriate Wine), but most of our Group missed the Inside and the full array of the buffett. They need to go back again.
And so it ends. Highly recommend this Tour. This is a perfect mix of elements within three major cities and two unique ones. Eleven nights in five hotels and never met a beer I didn't like. Joking aside (and who said I was joking?) the food and drink made this all I could hope for.
